Memene Terms of Service

1.1 Ways to access the service

You may use Memene and its related services in the following ways:

• Visit Memene.cn in your browser;
• Download and install an officially authorised or approved client application.

If you obtain Memene or its client from unauthorised sources, we cannot guarantee that such versions will function properly or accept responsibility for any losses.

1.2 Account registration and use

1.2.1 You must submit the required information and agree to this agreement before you can register an account and use the service.

1.2.2 Your account is personal to you and may not be transferred, leased or shared with anyone else.

1.2.3 Please keep your account information (including but not limited to username and password) safe. You are solely responsible for any loss caused by improper custody.

1.3 Account security

1.3.1 Notify us immediately if you discover any unauthorised use of your account.

1.3.2 We may suspend or terminate your account when necessary to protect the platform’s security or other users’ legitimate rights.

2.1 Service content

We provide the following services through Memene:

• Personalised briefings generated with artificial intelligence;
• News summaries, trend analysis and related customised content;
• Other news-related features and services announced by us from time to time.

2.2 Usage restrictions

You must not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to crack the platform;
• Use content from the platform to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models without written permission;
• Copy, distribute, modify or create derivative works based on platform content without our authorisation;
• Disseminate unlawful, infringing, false or harmful information via the platform;
• Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the platform, including sending spam, malware or launching network attacks;
• Engage in any other behaviour that violates applicable laws, regulations or this agreement.

3.1 User content

You are responsible for the content you submit to Memene. You retain ownership of your user content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, store and process it as necessary to operate, maintain and improve the service.

3.2 Conduct requirements

User content must:

• Not infringe any third-party intellectual-property, privacy or other legitimate rights;
• Not violate laws, regulations or the provisions of this agreement. We may remove violating content and take further measures when needed;
• Not contain malicious code or the personal data of others without explicit consent.

4.1 Platform intellectual property

All software, designs, text, images, data and other materials on Memene are protected by intellectual-property laws and belong to us or the corresponding rights holders.

Without our prior written consent, you may not use platform content for any commercial purpose.

4.2 User content licences

You retain ownership of your user content, but you grant us necessary rights to use it in connection with providing and improving the service.

5.1 Privacy protection

We take privacy seriously. For details, please refer to the Privacy Policy.

5.2 Data security

We adopt reasonable security safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security. You understand and accept the potential risks associated with internet data transmission.

6.1 Service risks

• 6.1.1 Content generated by the platform is assisted by artificial intelligence and may contain errors; please evaluate its reliability yourself.
• 6.1.2 We are not liable for service interruption or data loss caused by force majeure, network failure or other unavoidable circumstances.

6.2 Third-party services

The platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

7.1 Agreement changes

We may revise this agreement due to changes in laws or operational needs. Updated terms will be published on the platform and take effect on the indicated date. Continuing to use the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7.2 Termination

7.2.1 You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

7.2.2 We may suspend or terminate your account when necessary without bearing liability.

8.1 Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan).

8.2 Dispute resolution

Disputes arising from this agreement should first be resolved through friendly consultation. If consultation fails, either party may submit the dispute to the Hangzhou Arbitration Commission.

1. Information Sources: All content in these briefings originates from publicly available online sources that we have selected and aggregated using automated technologies. We make no express or implied warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of these information sources.
2. AI Processing: Content is filtered, summarized, and categorized by artificial intelligence. This automated process may introduce errors or distortions, and the AI-generated content does not represent the views or positions of this platform.
3. Non-Professional Advice: The content provided is for informational purposes only and does not constitute any form of professional advice (including but not limited to investment, legal, or medical advice). You should make decisions based on your own independent judgment; we do not accept responsibility for any consequences that result.
4. Copyright Notice: All content remains the property of its original authors and the original publishing platforms. We respect intellectual property rights and share information on a non-commercial basis only. If you believe any content infringes your rights, please contact us at enquiries.memene@hkai.ai and we will act promptly upon verification.
5. User Responsibility: You assume full responsibility for any actions you take based on the content of these briefings.

To ensure the normal operation and service functionality of the Memene mobile application on iOS and Android platforms, this section provides additional information regarding third-party SDKs and system permissions used in the App version. If you only use the Web version, you may skip this section.

10.1 Scope of Application

This section applies to the Memene mobile application downloaded and installed through the App Store, Android app stores, or other official channels.

The application is jointly operated by Hangzhou Yuansun Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliate Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Association.

10.2 Third-Party SDK Information

To enable third-party login, push notifications, and other features, we have integrated the following third-party SDKs in the App.

We only call relevant interfaces when necessary to implement essential functions and strictly follow the principle of data minimization in collecting and using data.

We do not collect personal information unrelated to our services through the above SDKs, nor do we use collected information for unauthorised purposes.

For specific data processing methods of third-party SDKs, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

10.3 System Permissions

To ensure the core functionality of the application, we may request the following system permissions.

You can manually enable or disable these permissions in your system settings, but disabling them may affect some features.

We will not access sensitive permissions such as your contacts, photo library, camera, microphone, or location without your authorisation.

10.4 App-Specific Services

• App login functionality is based on WeChat authorisation. You must agree to WeChat's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to use this feature.
• We do not display third-party advertisements in the App, nor do we integrate behavioural tracking SDKs.

10.5 Policy Updates and Applicable Versions

If we add other SDKs, advertising services, or permission requests in future App versions, we will promptly update this Terms of Service and Privacy Policy accordingly, and seek your confirmation and consent again during version updates.

This section takes effect from the Memene App October 2025 version.
